Iron Lake Ranch Herd Sires...

Travis is proving to be one of the most consistent Sires in the Black Hereford Breed.  At our recent “In the Black” Sale we sold seven bulls sired by Travis that averaged $3,021 including the top selling bull Iron Man 1015 T, a homozygous black bull, that sold for $5,150 to G Bar G Ranch of Blossom, TX.  Those seven bulls had an average weaning ration of 105 and an average yearling ratio of 110.  We also sold five open heifers that averaged $2,850 including the top selling open heifer, Iron Lady 001 T, that sold to Triple T Farm, Tim Tarter of Nancy, KY for $3,400.  Travis combines excellent EPD’s including a spread of 0.9 at birth to 71.5 at yearling with powerful muscle and lots of depth of body.  Travis’ calves are eye-appealing and very sound and structurally correct.

9177W is a very attractive, long bodied, smooth made bull that combines performance and
top quality carcass traits. His +30 $CHB index ranks him in the top 1% along with being in
the top 5% for Marbling and the top 10% for REA. Pay close attention to his pedigree as his
mother is the famous Churchill Lady 202 (mother of Yankee) who is now part of our donor
program. 9177W’s fi rst calves hit the ground this Spring and we couldn’t be happier. They
are fast growing and take after their father for length of body. If you need a bull that has a
moderate birth weight, fast growth and excellent carcass quality 9177W is the bull for you.
